In an effort to support our mission of preparing students for college life and beyond, educators here on the Mountain have instituted approaches to learning that are proven to add depth and breadth to the secondary school curriculum. These include interdisciplinary courses, experiential education, project-based learning and a student-centered approach in the classroom.
We now introduce the next dynamic steps in our educational program: a re-designed class schedule, advisory themes, a mini “quest” term and capstone/cornerstone projects.
When integrated, these four curricular facets will endow our students with the skills for knowledge and success that they need in life. These include creativity, innovation, critical thinking/problem solving, collaboration, social and cross-cultural skills, flexibility/adaptability, leadership and responsibility.
