Academics — Learning That Serves
Service
Learning.
20 hours a year, every student — classroom learning, put to work.
The Commitment
Twenty hours, countless connections. Every Storm King student pledges 20 hours of community service per year — an academic requirement that gives students an extraordinary opportunity to connect classroom learning to their ability to create positive change in the world, empowering them in their own educational journeys.
Community service opportunities are delivered through the Student Life Office, with projects across the Hudson Valley that put students to work on real needs — from trail conservation and food security to housing and animal welfare.
