Each year, students at The Storm King School are offered opportunities for travel to exciting destinations within the United States and abroad where they can expand their horizons, experience different cultures, participate in service opportunities, and learn about the natural world.

Italy

In past years, students have traveled to exotic locations including Fiji, Peru, Cuba, and the Galapagos Islands as well as domestic destinations such as New York City, Boston, the Adirondacks, and many others. Most recently, students enjoyed two popular trips to Costa Rica and Italy during the 2023 Spring Break holiday.

Cuba

For the upcoming school year, one exciting trip is already in the works. In November 2023, students will once again have the chance experience Peru during Thanksgiving Break. The School’s last trip to Peru took place in 2015. This exciting eight-day excursion will begin in Peru’s capital city, Lima, which is rich in culture, delicious food, and shopping. Next, the group will travel to Cusco, go by train through the Andes Mountains, zip-line in Ollantaytambo (the Sacred Valley), explore the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, learn to cook local foods, relax at a natural hot spring, and much more. They will also serve the local community by helping out with maintenance, painting, and interacting with children at a local orphanage.

Peru

All students and families are encouraged to take advantage of this exciting cultural trip to Peru during Thanksgiving Break, and other exciting trips that are in the works over the Spring Break holiday.
