Before joining SKS to lead the Academic Support Program, Heather earned her BA from Bryn Mawr College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Education followed by an MA in Applied Educational Psychology as a Reading Specialist from Teachers College at Columbia University. Heather gained additional training in reading and writing literacy and Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills. She has also served as the Director of Learning Support at Saddle River Day School, as a Learning Specialist at The Episcopal Academy, and as a Reading and Learning Specialist at Friends Select School.
