This year’s Alumni Basketball Game was an hour packed full of fun, excitement and high-energy basketball for both teams. Following a win last year, the Storm King Alumni Team did it again, winning against the Faculty/Student team 91-85. The game took place on Sunday, January 12 at 2 pm in the SKS gymnasium.

Graduates spanning several decades filled the Alumni bench including Sele Birchwood ’09, Greg Facey ’13, Larry Lepisto ’89, Richard Bailey ’02, David Bethea ’01, Jonathan Lopes ’00, Shauntiece “Puddin’” Hunt ’01, Jayden Figueroa ’19, Jose Figueroa ’19, and Jermaine Miller ’02 as their coach, supported by former coaches Kevin Houston and Kevin O’Brien. In the stands, they were cheered on by fellow alums Joe Underwood ’16, Stephen Duffy ’71, SKS Board Chair Roger Auerbacher ’66, and Jim Perlberg ’70.

The SKS bench consisted of Varsity Girls and JV boys (along with a few Varsity Boys) and Faculty/Staff members Angelica Centeno, Jeremy Freeman, David Mendlewski, Michael Vondras, Kaitlin Nolan, and Varsity Coach Al Lewis. The team cheered enthusiastically for their players with coach Pep Viveros ’21 at the helm, but the alumni team couldn’t be beaten.
