“One of my best memories of SKS was Graduation Day. Mr. Horton, the Headmaster, believed public speaking skills were critical, and taught a mandatory public speaking class. Every graduating student was required to give a speech. One of my classmates, Tony Behar, was an avid photographer. He walked up to the lectern, collected his diploma and gave his speech. At the end, he said he wouldn’t be a photographer if he didn’t take advantage of this moment. Then he pulled out his camera and took photos of the whole audience!
I remember it so many years later because it was novel in the pre-cellphone era, but also because it was so cool seeing one of my classmates memorializing our shared journey. And now I’m memorializing it here, as a story all these years later.
Tony, if you’re reading this, please post some of those pictures!”

“I developed the foundation for learning and perseverance at SKS. I learned to look at problems creatively and was encouraged to ask questions. I now spend my days at work doing what I love.”
