Dr. Paul Feffer earned his doctorate in physics studying x-ray and gamma-ray emissions from the Sun, Galactic Center, and other astronomical objects using data collected with balloon-borne instrumentation flown over Antarctica. After completing his graduate degree, he worked in the technology and finance industries but decided to return to academia in 2013 when he began teaching physics and computer science, leading the hiking club, and coaching tennis at The Storm King School. Paul also participates in public outreach activities with the Rockland Astronomy Club. He enjoys tennis, hiking, skiing, and science fiction, and likes to challenge his students with social and ethical consequences of new technology.
