Director of College Counseling Daniel Constantinidi

As the fall semester winds to a close, The Storm King School’s Office of College Counseling is gearing up for winter and already looking toward spring. “Currently, the senior class is eagerly awaiting news about their Early Decision and Early Action applications which will continue to arrive through December,” explained Director of College Counseling Daniel Constantinidi. “It has only been a month since the first application deadline and we already have 25 acceptances from 19 different schools, as well as two seniors who have committed to their colleges. We expect more decisions to trickle in throughout the winter. So far, the Class of 2023 has applied to an impressive list of the nation’s top colleges, universities, and art schools. I’m very excited to see the outcomes.”

“Traditionally, January is an important month for both juniors and seniors,” continued Mr. Constantinidi. “Many seniors will be finishing up their Regular Decision applications and awaiting news. Throughout Semester 2, I will continue working with the senior class to help them navigate their final college choices and understand financial aid right up until National College Commitment Day on May 1. For the junior class, I have already kicked off their college application journey with a workshop on the “Tips and Tricks of College Visits.” Once the students return from break, I will host many other workshops with topics including “An Introduction to the College Process,” “Common Application Essay Writing,” and an “SAT/ACT Overview.” In addition, we will continue to host more on-campus college visits.”

Over the Winter Break and into the New Year, Mr. Constantinidi is encouraging juniors, seniors, and all Storm King students to “keep up the good work, stay on track, and stay in close contact throughout the winter.” “I can’t wait to return in January and see all the great schools our seniors are applying and gaining admission to. Sharing their exciting news with the community is one of the best parts of my job!”
