Atlanta, Georgia, was recently the venue for the second regional gathering for The Storm King School, featuring our new Head of School, Lisa Shambaugh. The event was graciously hosted by Trustee Ken Goldwasser ‘78 and his wife, Randi, who opened their home for a warm evening of dinner and drinks with ten members of the SKS community.
During the evening, Ms. Shambaugh shared her excitement about her new role at SKS and expressed her eagerness to get to know the school’s families and alumni. She encouraged guests to share their personal experiences with the school and offer ideas and perspectives, fostering meaningful conversation and connection.
The gathering brought together a diverse group, including parents, a Trustee Emeritus, and alumni, creating an engaging and lively atmosphere. Attendees included John Franzen ‘77, Duffy French ‘73, Alex Gillespie ‘17, Harold Kennedy ‘73, Richard Kong ‘17, Chad Merrill ‘84, Vallea Woodbury ‘95, and Meryl Braunstein and Alan Shenberg, the parents of current student Joey Shenberg ‘25.
