Before joining the Student Life Team at SKS, Sara gained extensive residential life experience at the collegiate level with five years at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign followed by seven years at Smith College. Most recently, she served for eight years as the Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life at Oakwood Friends School.

Alongside her duties in the Dean’s Office, Sara teaches Global History, coaches JV girls basketball, and serves as a dorm parent in Highmount House In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing and watching basketball, going to horse shows, reading, and listening to podcasts.
