Film & Video

A fully hands-on course focused on all aspects of fictional and documentary filmmaking. Every student takes on at least one key pre-production, production, or post-production role — writing, directing, acting, producing, cinematography, or editing.

Through digital design, students build on prior experience to pursue personal discoveries in the visual arts, completing a series of projects that respond to complex design challenges. Working hands-on in Adobe Creative Suite, they develop visual literacy and the practical knowledge to communicate ideas and solve design problems, with an emphasis on constructive critique and the work of professional artists and designers. On occasion, the class works off campus with real clients and visits museums and cultural sites.

Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs, students pursue applied, practical design through projects that respond to complex engineering challenges. Working hands-on in TinkerCad and Blender, they develop visual literacy and the knowledge to communicate ideas and design solutions, exploring the many ways 3D printing can solve real-world problems.
