01 — The Program
Fashion Design at The Storm King School blends creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation.
The Fashion Design Program at The Storm King School introduces students to both the artistic and technical foundations of the fashion industry. Students learn to communicate ideas through fashion illustration while developing practical skills in sewing, pattern making, draping, textile design, and garment construction. Throughout the curriculum, emphasis is placed on craftsmanship, creativity, design thinking, and the ability to solve visual problems.
As students progress, they undertake increasingly ambitious design projects that culminate in original runway collections and portfolio-quality work. Coursework also explores fashion history, sustainability, marketing, manufacturing, and the evolving global fashion industry, helping students understand both the creative and business sides of the profession.

§ 05 — Visit Our Classes
See creativity in action. Meet our students and teachers, and see our designers in action.
The best way to understand our fashion program is to experience it. We invite prospective students and their families to visit campus, attend a fashion show, meet our faculty, and see firsthand how creativity flourishes at the foot of Storm King Mountain.
