Jamie Smith assumed the position of Director of Facilities at Storm King on July 1, 1997, after spending 7.5 years at New York Military Academy. His day-to-day duties include overseeing facility operations, delegating tasks to his maintenance team, procuring supplies, paperwork and correspondence, scheduling outside contractors for major projects, maintaining school vehicles and equipment, fire safety, security and much more! Jamie knows various trades: painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, minor mechanics and HVAC, and waste management, to name a few.

While he planned on working at SKS for only a few years, Jamie and his family have created a life here on the Mountain. Along with his wife Rosemarie and three children, Sara ’17, Jenna ’20 and Michael, Jamie lives in the Mountain House on Deer Hill Road extension. He feels very strongly that his family is part of Storm King and Storm King is part of his family!
