English Teacher

Jeremy graduated from Lyon College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Philosophy and Religion and in 2000 from Yale Divinity School with a Masters of Arts and Religion. Jeremy has worked in independent schools for over twenty years, beginning his tenure as an English Teacher at SKS in 2008. Additionally, Jeremy works closely with the administration in support of the faculty and residential life. After completing graduate studies in psychology and psychotherapy, Jeremy was granted the credential of LP (Licensed Psychoanalyst) in 2023 by the New York State Education Department. This field of study and experience has enabled his designing and teaching of school-wide workshops focused on mental and emotional health in the boarding school community. Jeremy lives on campus with his wife, Ava, and three daughters, Zosia, Viveca, and Oona–and pet rats, Tulip and Fifi; cat, Splinter; and tortoise, Delphi. Jeremy loves to be outside exploring the rivers, fields, peaks, valleys, and historical anomalies in the Hudson Valley. In any season he’ll be out trekking, pedaling, climbing, paddling, and artifact-hunting. Although quiet and reserved by nature, his musical inclinations are not. A Highland Bagpiper since the age of 10, Jeremy performs and records traditional Scottish and Irish music on Bagpipes, Mandolin, and Whistles.
