Jeanette Jacobson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Theatre, with a concentration in dance and a minor in creative and professional writing, from Manhattanville College. There, she held her first Admissions job as a tour guide and admissions assistant. During her time with the Manhattanville Admissions office, Mrs. Jacobson received several awards for her work.

Mrs. Jacobson’s tenure at The Storm King School began in 2011, when she joined the Visual and Performing Arts department as the dance instructor. She has been trained in acting, dancing, choreography, lighting design, sound design, stagecraft, and directing. She has choreographed many musicals and over 100 original dance pieces, including a thirty minute production focused on dancing with disabilities entitled “I Can’t NOT Dance.”

Mrs. Jacobson has been dancing professionally with Mooney Cooley Dance Company since 2013. Although she loves performing, she feels there is nothing better than seeing her students, learn, perform, and have fun.
