Gabriela Mikova-Johnson

A singer, actress, and dancer based in New York. She has been coaching voice students at The Storm King School since 2012.

In December 2013 she was the soprano soloist in Gordon Stewart’s period-instrument production of Handel’s Messiah with the Philipstown Philharmonia. She performed the lead role of Polly Peachum in the World’s End Theatre production of The Beggars’ Opera, also with Gordon Stewart, and has performed concerts at Boscobel Restoration in Garrison and The Chapel of Our Lady Restoration in Cold Spring.

Before moving to the U.S., Ms. Mikova Johnson performed as a soloist and actress in operatic, dramatic, and musical-comedy roles in many venues in Central and Western Europe. She was educated at the Janacek Conservatory in Ostrava, Czech Republic, and has continued her studies in Manhattan with noted singing coach Gerald Martin Moore, and in Warsaw with renowned tenor/counter-tenor (male soprano) Jacek Laszczkowski.
