Ray Hecht joined The Storm King School in May 2011 as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources, bringing his 25 years of experience in corporate finance and administration to the sphere of education. Prior to coming to The Storm King School, Mr. Hecht worked for Experian, Inc. (the credit company) as Senior Director of Finance for their Business Strategies division. His forte is to simplify complex environments, especially in relation to finance, to enable school and business decision makers to act on the information he provides. He received his BA in Accounting with a strong concentration in English and Law at the City University at Queens College in N.Y.C., and has been a guest lecturer on new business startups at SUNY Orange. In August of 2013, Mr. Hecht became the Assistant Headmaster for Finance at SKS. He lives in Blooming Grove, N.Y. with his wife Cathy and daughter Caroline ’19, along with three dogs and one cat. Mr. Hecht greatly enjoys gardening, Friday night cards and a rousing game of chess. Signifying his kinship with SKS, Mr. Hecht has confidently declared that this will be the last place he will ever work: “I’m home!”
