SKS Seniors Confirm at Top Colleges Around the World

Following National College Decision Day on May 1, The Storm King School’s Office of College Counseling is pleased to announce that college acceptances for the senior class are impressive once again this year. Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Georgia Tech, NYU, Fordham, Seton Hall, American University, Rutgers, Syracuse, UMASS Amherst, University of Illinois, Drexel University, University of London, and Bard College are only some of the schools on the long list of institutions that have our students on their radars.

What’s the secret to our students’ success? According to Director of College Counseling Martha Kwon, “It is the combination of highly-engaged and motivated students, supportive parents, and the correct guidance. SKS takes great pride in the high level of personalized attention it provides each student as we help them plan for life after secondary school,” she explains. “All of our students have individual needs. Our objective is to advise each student in selecting the most appropriate colleges or universities that match their talents and potential, and to assist them during the sometimes-complicated college application process.”

With graduation right around the corner, Mrs. Kwon reports that most of the seniors have now confirmed at one of their top-choice schools, and several will attend the most prestigious colleges in the nation in the fall. So far to date, Storm King has seniors leaving for Georgia Institute of Technology, Boston University, NYU, American University, Trinity College, Skidmore College, St. John’s University, UConn, Penn State, University of California-Davis, University of California-Santa Barbara, Ohio State University, Syracuse University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Fashion Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute, Rutgers University, Howard University, Clark University, The New School, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Buffalo, University of Michigan, University of Maine, and many others. In addition, some graduating seniors will attend prestigious colleges abroad including Goldsmiths, University of London and CEU Cardenal Herrera University and Universidad de Navarra School of Medicine, both in Spain.
