The Storm King School fall sports season is well underway, with teams across campus competing with energy, determination, and a growing sense of team. Early highlights from Boys Soccer and Cross Country have given the community plenty to cheer about, while the rest of the fall teams continue to work hard and build momentum.
Boys Varsity Soccer
Boys Varsity Soccer has made the most of its first weeks, earning wins over Olivet and Harvey School while also battling through challenging competition. The team opened with a 5–0 victory over Olivet and followed with a 3–0 shutout against Harvey. A scoreless draw against Wooster was another competitive outing. With the season still young, the Cougars will look to carry that momentum into the weeks ahead.
Boys JV Soccer
Boys JV Soccer is making the most of a challenging schedule, with each game providing opportunities for the young team to develop its skills and work together. As the players continue to gain confidence and experience, they will have many chances to put that growth into action throughout the remainder of the season.
Cross Country
Cross Country made its mark at the annual Storm King Invitational on September 23, with the team earning a third-place finish. Competing on their home course, Storm King runners turned in a solid performance and continued to build on the strong team culture that has become a hallmark of the program. With more meets on the schedule, the Cougars have plenty of opportunities ahead to continue improving.
Girls Soccer and Volleyball
Girls Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Volleyball, and Girls JV Volleyball are also putting in the work through competitive early-season schedules. Each team is developing its skills on the pitch and court, learning from each game, and building stronger connections as the season progresses. Their continued effort and commitment are laying the foundation for a rewarding season ahead.
With many games and meets still to come, Storm King’s fall athletes have plenty of opportunities ahead to compete, improve, and support one another. The season is just getting underway, and there is much more to look forward to.
