Before their departure for Winter Break, Mrs. Jacobson’s dance students put on a heartwarming recital for the Storm King School community to help ring in the holidays. Their outstanding performance took place at the Walter Reade Jr. Theatre on December 14, 2023.

Mrs. Jacobson was ecstatic about the show and the efforts of her students during the fall semester. “We had 10 dancers in the program this fall,” she explained. This particular recital featured 18 routines choreographed to a mix of musical genres. Each dance was different and challenging in its own way, and really showcased the versatility of our dancers.”

During the recital, it was hard to tell at times who was having more fun–the audience or the dancers. “The students performed with confidence and big smiles,” continued Mrs. Jacobson. “The support they received from the audience really helped them rise to the challenge and made me proud to be a part of the SKS community. The final performance of The Nutcracker featuring all 10 dancers together on stage was the perfect way to end the show and a semester of hard work.”

Many thanks go out to the SKS dancers, Mrs. Jacobson, and members of the technical crew for helping to put on this great show behind the scenes.
