The 155th year at The Storm King School will be an exciting one when it comes to college placement. The bar was set high last year, with nearly 100% of the graduating class attending one of their top choice schools. To build on this momentum, Storm King’s College Counseling Office plans to kick off its work with students at full speed once classes begin. As a result of their efforts, the School Calendar is already filling up with college-related events, meetings, help sessions, and more.

Storm King’s new Director of College Counseling, Daniel Constantinidi, will be working with students individually and by grade level: “Throughout the year, I will be here to help advise students and families through the college search process, including researching colleges, standardized testing, applying and submitting materials, essay and Common App support, understanding financial aid packages, and final selection.”

Mr. Constantinidi is also planning events that will benefit students at all grade levels and many that include parents. “The mission of the college counseling program at The Storm King School is to educate and advise students and their families on the college experience. We aim to guide each student in selecting the most appropriate colleges or universities that match their talents and potential and to assist them during the entire process,” explained Mr. Constantinidi.

Once classes begin, Mr. Constantinidi is confident that his previous experience as an assistant director of admissions at the college level will allow him to help Storm King students and families in the best possible ways. In addition, his participation in NCAA recruiting will be very beneficial for our college-bound student-athletes. “I can’t wait to get to know the students and get right to work on their college goals. I encourage everyone, especially our juniors and seniors, to set up an appointment with me so we can begin. Please keep an eye out for more College Counseling news in the coming days and weeks,” he explained.
