A small group of students from The Storm King School traveled to Hyde Park, New York to attend Hudson Valley Regional Portfolio Day at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum earlier this month.

The annual event, presented by Art Effect (formerly the Mill Street Loft), gives student-artists the opportunity to meet with college representatives from some of the most prestigious art schools in the nation. At the event, the students also have the chance to have their portfolios reviewed, discuss tips for college admissions, and learn about art-based career options.

SKS Visual Arts Department Chair John Carruthers accompanied the group which included seniors Huanran Dorothy Mao, Heying Helen Shen, and Jiaq Jessica Ding; junior Miles Lucas and sophomore Anna Volkova.
