The Storm King Bowling Team brought in a commanding performance Wednesday, February 28, finishing the season with a 10-2 record.  This effort was heads and shoulders above all the other competitors and secured the 2018 HVAL Bowling Championship title in the league’s inaugural year of competitive bowling. Our Cougars practiced three to four days a week all season, honing their bowling skills individually, and as a team. Because of their dedication and focus, they were able to clearly dominate the league, with 7 shut out wins, 3 wins, and 2 losses (not easily given up, both ending at 1-2).  Another testament to the their persistence and attained skill level was the team high score of 178 in comparison to the next two highest scores of 153 and 109.

Alonso Gonzalez Reynaud ’19 led the team in spirit and strikes with a record high of 21 strikes and 9 spares.  Igor Klimtsov ’20 showed a very strong effort as the “spare man” with 8 strikes and 15 spares.  The final leg of the trio was Lorenzo Pretto ’19 with consistent play bringing in 8 strikes and 11 spares.  Overall the team scored 50 strikes and 60 spares over 12 games, with an average of 4 strikes and 5 spares per game!  Simply put—another great Storm King performance—this time on the bowling alley!

Great job Coach McMahon and the bowling team.
