The Storm King School community gathered in the Walter Reade Jr. Theatre, full of school spirit, to celebrate the achievements of its students outside the classroom at the 2025–2026 Afternoon Activity Awards. The ceremony recognized dedication, talent, and sportsmanship across a wide range of athletic and co-curricular activities.
Each sport or activity honored students with Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Coach’s Awards, reflecting both individual performance and meaningful team contributions. Additionally, the names of students selected for the All-HVAL and All-NEPSAC teams in their respective sports were announced.
From a standout cross country season in the fall to energetic basketball performances in the winter, and a strong boys tennis season along with outstanding stage productions in the spring, every season offered highlights and moments worthy of applause. The audience also celebrated excellent contributions in fencing, lacrosse, outdoor adventure, visual arts, and esports and many other activities.
Also included in this year’s ceremony were the Commitment Award—honoring students with zero unexcused absences across all seasons—and the Outdoor Adventure Award, which recognizes sustained growth and participation in the program over four years.
The final portion of the ceremony was dedicated to Storm King’s most prestigious athletic honors for graduating seniors: the Pentagonal Awards, the Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, and the Senior Athlete of the Year.
