Dear SKS community,

While most of our students and faculty headed off to spring break, two groups continued to represent Storm King out in the wider world. Our boys’ basketball team successfully won the first round game of the NEPSAC Class C tournament over Wooster school 73-58 last Wednesday, and then traveled to a neutral site (Pomfret School) to play the top seed in the tournament Dexter School on Saturday in the semifinals. While they fell to Dexter 56-39, the eventual Class C Champion, the boys and coaches Lewis and Rowe had a tremendous season taking on Class A, B, C, and top D schools throughout eastern New York and New England all season long. We all appreciate the great effort they gave throughout the year and the boys should be congratulated for their work and raising the level of SKS basketball once again this year!

I also want to congratulate Kakazi Kacyira ’18, Joe Dawson ’18, Asia Raacke ’19, Pierce Pramuka ’20, Dominique Gooden ’21, Alisdair Neighbors ’22, and Mr. Hauser for their great showing at the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) Conference in Manhattan March 2-5. The Model UN Team represented Storm King well and should also be congratulated.

Thanks to all of our scholars, athletes, visual and performing artists and faculty and staff for your great work all winter long.  Have a refreshing and safe spring break!
