As The Storm King School prepares to welcome students for the fall semester, faculty and staff have been hard at work ensuring a smooth start for the 2025–2026 academic year. In the week leading up to student arrivals, new and returning team members attended workshops covering academics, student and residential life, athletics, technology, campus updates, mental health, and CPR certification. These sessions provided an opportunity to reconnect, refresh knowledge, and refocus on the year ahead.

Alongside this preparation, Storm King is also welcoming several new faculty and staff whose skills and experience further strengthen the community.

Back row: Andy Smith, Dashaun Graham, and Matty Sosnowski, front row: Caitlin Billesimo, and Anna Rose O'Shea

Caitlin Billesimo joins SKS as a full-time school counselor. She holds advanced degrees in School Counseling from Long Island University and has worked with students across multiple districts, providing counseling, risk assessments, and career programming.

Anna Rose O'Shea joins the faculty as an ELL Teacher. With a master's in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and years of experience teaching English learners in Virginia and abroad, she is known for her energy and dedication to inclusive instruction.

In the Business Office, Andy Smith joined Storm King earlier this summer. Previously CFOO at the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering and CFO at Brandon Hall School in Georgia, he brings extensive experience in finance, operations, HR, technology, and facilities—already proving invaluable to the School.

On the Facilities team, Matthew "Matty" Sosnowski brings a background in carpentry, building maintenance, and operations. A Washingtonville graduate, he has also run family businesses in plumbing, heating, and snow removal, and managed vintage vehicle importation and sales. His skills have already supported campus preparations for the new school year.

Dashaun Graham, who joined SKS last spring as boys volleyball coach, has taken on the role of Assistant Director of Admissions. A Rivier University graduate and former professional volleyball player with international experience, he combines admissions knowledge with a global perspective to connect with prospective students and families.

Later this fall, Shanna Sands-Muigai will join as the head girls basketball coach. A trained social worker with a master's degree from Fordham, she co-founded Hoopers Academy with her husband, running a successful camp on campus this summer. A former varsity and Division II athlete and certified fitness instructor, she is passionate about mentoring young women both on and off the court.

The summer also brought several internal transitions: Dr. Tim Lance has been named Associate Head of School, Sarah Fulton '09 stepped into the role of Director of Development, and English teacher Sophia Grausso '20 moved into the Development Office as Annual Fund and Events Manager.

With new talent and leadership in place, the Storm King School community looks forward to another exciting year. The dedication, expertise, and enthusiasm of its faculty and staff promise to make the school's 158th year a truly successful one.
