This fall, The Storm King School continued its commitment to building meaningful relationships with families and alumni around the world through a series of national and international gatherings. Designed to strengthen ties within our vibrant community, these events brought together current parents, graduates, and school leadership for conversation, connection, and shared pride in all that is happening on the Mountain.
In October, Head of School Lisa Shambaugh, Assistant Head of School for Admissions Marek Pramuka, and Director of Development Sarah Fulton ‘09 embarked on an engaging multi-city trip across Asia. Their travels took them to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Seoul, where they met with current parents and alumni eager to stay connected with SKS.
Throughout the journey, the team shared updates on school initiatives, listened to valuable feedback, and celebrated the strength of our global Storm King network. For current families, these gatherings offer a meaningful chance to meet in person, discuss their student’s progress, and deepen their partnership with the school, which in turn, supports every child’s success. For alumni, each event provided a warm reconnection with their SKS family and the opportunity to hear firsthand about the exciting momentum at the School today.
We are especially grateful to the families who generously hosted events in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, making this trip such a memorable and successful experience.
The Storm King School community came together in Boston in November for a warm and spirited alumni gathering. SKS Development Director Sarah Fulton ’09 and Associate Head of School Dr. Tim Lance welcomed a wonderful group of graduates for an evening filled with reconnection, shared memories, and school pride. The event brought together multiple generations of alumni, creating a lively atmosphere as attendees exchanged stories and celebrated the lasting impact of their time at SKS.
The sense of continuity and community was evident, reminding everyone of the bond that unites Storm King students across decades. Special appreciation goes to Tom Delaney ’58, Bob Cory ’63, Tom Leeds ’69, Sophie Drewes ’23, and Brad Nguyen ’25, whose presence added to the event’s significance and made the evening truly memorable.
