The Storm King School Model UN Team had an exciting and successful weekend at this year’s Masters School Model UN Conference, held December 6-7, 2025. Four SKS delegates took on a wide range of committees—from global security to international trade to a novel pop-culture crisis—with impressive results.

Aadya G. ’27 earned a Verbal Commendation for her work as Mark (innie) in the Severance Committee, while Yi D. ’26 represented North Korea in the WTO. In the DISEC Committee, Milana R. ’28 represented South Africa and Yagmur D. ’28 represented Germany, both contributing to thoughtful debates on disarmament and international security.

In addition, sophomore Lucky N. ’27 earned a Verbal Commendation for his role on the U.S. Presidential Cabinet’s COVID-19 Response Committee at the United Nations School MUN Conference—his second award of the season following an Honorable Mention at the Stuyvesant High School MUN Conference on November 8.

“The team continues to impress with their preparation, engagement, and leadership,” explained MUN faculty advisor Tim Gillett. “Their hard work shows in every committee room.”

Next up, the Storm King MUN Team will travel to Washington, D.C. on February 12-15, 2026 to participate in the 63rd Annual North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN), hosted by Georgetown University. They will join approximately 3,300 students from more than 200 schools across North America.

Congratulations to all our delegates on a fantastic performance!
