Spring is around the corner and the countdown to college is on for Storm King’s senior class. The bar was set high by last year’s graduates who chose to study at some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities, and this year’s application pool is already boasting impressive results.
According to Director of College Counseling Daniel Constantinidi, the Class of 2023 has applied to a diverse list of noteworthy colleges and universities: “Students have applied to a wide variety of colleges and universities this year, both geographically and in terms of their size and program offerings. Also, compared to last year, a significant number of students have applied early action/early decision to a shortlist of highly selective and prestigious schools. Several have already received good news and made their final decisions.”
To date, early action and early decision letters received include Northeastern, Purdue, Tufts, University of Rochester, Fordham, New York University, Penn State, UMass-Amherst, Rutgers, Temple, University of Vermont, University of Maine, Hartwick College, School of Visual Arts, University of Delaware, Union College, Siena College, Dominican University, Lehigh University, University of New Hampshire, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Hofstra University, Champlain College, University of Rhode Island, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, St. John’s University, Maryland Institute College of Art, California College of the Arts, University of New Haven, Montana State, Colorado State, DePaul University, Alaska Pacific University, University of New England, Roger Williams University, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, SUNY Albany, SUNY Buffalo, SUNY New Paltz, Nazareth College, Loyola University, Marist College, and Savannah College of Art and Design.
“In addition, students who have applied under the regular decision timeline or who were deferred from early to regular decision will be receiving their admission letters throughout March and April. That means spring will be very exciting for the senior class and for the College Counseling Office. As always, I will continue to assist them as they evaluate their options ahead of National College Decision Day on May 1,” continued Mr. Constantinidi. “Congratulations to the Class of 2023 for the hard work they’ve put in so far, and I’m looking forward to the whiteboards in my office filling up soon.”
