The Storm King School community gathered in the Walter Reade Jr. Theatre recently to celebrate academic achievement during the fall semester. The Fall 2025 Academic Awards, also known as the “Book Awards,” is a cherished school tradition that honors one outstanding student from each class, selected by their teacher and presented with a thoughtfully chosen book.

In his opening remarks, Associate Head of School Dr. Tim Lance reflected on the significance of the evening, noting, “Each student we recognize tonight is committed to the active pursuit of excellence; each has developed habits and attitudes which will serve them well beyond today. Our faculty members, who have given many years to working with young people, celebrate this opportunity to lift up and emphasize the ideals of scholarship, creativity, perseverance, and character that are so important to our work and our school.” Following the presentation of awards by each academic department, Head of School Lisa Shambaugh concluded the ceremony by commending the students and faculty for their hard work and dedication, and thanking the audience and the school community for their continued support of our students.

Congratulations to all of the award recipients for their well-earned recognition, and thank you to our faculty and families for supporting and inspiring their continued pursuit of excellence.
