It looks like another great year at The Storm King School and our enrollment numbers say it all. Boasting the highest first-day enrollment in the School’s history, SKS welcomed 180 students this year.
Among these bright, diverse, and talented learners are 90 international students from five continents and 23 countries including the Dominican Republic, Brazil, China, Ecuador, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
Representing the other half of the student body, 90 students have also joined us from six US states including New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, California, Florida, and Massachusetts – the largest enrollment of American students to date. This number also includes 53 day students – the largest number ever enrolled at SKS.
As they reconnect with returning students and get to know our newcomers, the faculty and staff couldn’t be happier, especially those in the Admissions Office. Assistant Head of School for Admissions and Marketing Marek Pramuka is very pleased with this year’s numbers and the work of his team: “We are thrilled to have our students back on the Mountain as the campus comes to life after the long summer hiatus. Not only is this the largest group of students in the 151-year history of our school; it is also one of the most academically gifted,” explains Mr. Pramuka. “We have students here who dream of working for NASA, the US Government, students who are designing their own fashion labels, future teachers, and college-level athletes among others. With such a great group, it’s sure to be another successful year at Storm King.”
