National College Decision Day is only a few days away (Thursday, May 1, 2025), and the excitement is climbing among members of the Storm King School Class of 2025. Our seniors have a lot to be proud of as they inch closer to making their final commitments to the institutions they will attend in the fall.
Last year’s graduates set the bar high, moving on to some of the nation’s most prestigious universities and art colleges, and this year’s line-up is equally impressive. The whiteboards in the College Counseling Office are overflowing with acceptances from an array of private and public institutions and top art colleges across the U.S. and beyond.
This year’s seniors have earned admission to some of the most selective and celebrated universities in the world, including the University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University, New York University (including NYU Shanghai), UCLA, University of Michigan, Boston University, and McGill University in Canada. Other outstanding institutions include Vassar College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Northeastern University, University of California – San Diego, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign among others.
Storm King students will also choose among a wide variety of excellent liberal arts colleges and research universities such as Skidmore College, Lafayette College, Sarah Lawrence College, Franklin & Marshall, and The New School, alongside notable public universities like Penn State, Rutgers University, University of Maryland, Ohio State University, University of Washington, and Indiana University. Artistic students were accepted to some of the top creative institutions, including Pratt Institute, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), and School of Visual Arts (SVA).
Additional acceptances span both national and international institutions, with students receiving offers from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, as well as from schools across the SUNY and CUNY systems. These include highly regarded campuses like Binghamton University, Stony Brook University, SUNY ESF, and Baruch College. Rounding out the list are a host of regional universities and specialty schools, such as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Drexel University, Pepperdine University, and University of Tampa, showcasing the diversity of paths Storm King graduates are prepared to take.
“As we get closer to May 1, you can definitely feel the buzz on campus,” said Director of College Counseling Dan Constantinidi. “The seniors have worked really hard, and now they’re seeing all that effort pay off. It’s a fun, exciting—sometimes overwhelming—time for them, but in the best way.”
He added, “They have so many great options in front of them, and now it’s about figuring out what feels like the right fit. It’s not just about rankings or names—it’s about where they see themselves growing and thriving. I’m proud of each one of them. They’ve put in the work, and they’re ready for what’s next.”
