Cindy Gue-Waugh was born in Haiti, but her earliest memories are of her upbringing in Yonkers, New York. A former Pre-Med student, Cindy pursued a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at NYIT, focusing on Political Science, Anthropology, and Sociology. She was active in the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and served as President of the Caribbean Student Organization. For 10 years, Cindy taught engineering and architecture-based STEM to inner-city youth, emphasizing hands-on projects related to the built environment. A servant leader with a diverse skill set, she enjoys basketball, volleyball, poetry, singing, and church involvement. Cindy is also a mother of two young boys, fluent in Haitian Creole, holds a nursing license, and always seeks opportunities to learn and grow.
