Congratulations to Storm King School alumnus Seth Vieira ’22, a current student at Cornell University, for his recent acceptance to The Institute for Responsible Citizenship. The Institute, located in Washington, D.C., is a highly selective, two-summer program for some of America’s most talented and ambitious African American male college students.
During the program, scholars work at high-level internships in their fields of interest, participate in a challenging seminar on economic and constitutional principles, engage in private meetings with leaders from the public and private sectors, attend personal and professional development workshops, and enjoy a variety of social activities. The program is designed to provide an unparalleled experience that will help to prepare these young men for successful and impactful careers.
Scholars like Seth enter the program as sophomores from prestigious colleges and universities across the nation based on their strong academic performance with transcripts that reflect a rigorous and challenging course load, and their level of campus involvement in student organizations, arts or athletic programs, and community service activities.
Kudos, Seth! Your alma mater is very proud of you!
