As the countdown to graduation continues, the SKS Class of 2026 gathered for a memorable evening at this year’s Senior Dinner in Henderson Dining Hall. Surrounded by classmates, faculty, and staff, seniors celebrated their time on the Mountain with great food, laughter, and unforgettable moments together.
Head of School Lisa Shambaugh welcomed the soon-to-be graduates into the Storm King School alumni family, reflecting on the accomplishments, friendships, and experiences that have shaped the Class of 2026. She reminded students that “the memories that will stay with you are not necessarily the big, grand moments, but rather the smaller, everyday interactions with faculty members and friends.”
Lauren Ferrera ’97, Alumni Council Outreach and Development Committee Chair, addressed the senior class with reflections on building a lasting legacy and the importance of giving back to the school that has shaped their experience. She encouraged students to remain connected as alumni and to consider their future role in supporting the school community. She concluded her remarks by presenting a check to Annual Fund Manager Sophia Grausso, symbolizing continued engagement and support for the Annual Fund.
Dressed in their senior sweatshirts, students enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Andy and the kitchen staff while taking part in the always-popular baby picture game, trying to guess classmates and faculty members from childhood photos. Throughout the evening, seniors exchanged stories, laughter, and memories they will carry with them long after graduation.
As Storm King’s 158th Commencement draws near, the Senior Dinner served as a special reminder of the bonds formed at SKS and the bright futures ahead for every member of the Class of 2026. The Mountain will always be your home!
