Congratulations to Storm King School sophomore Daniel Z. ’25!  Daniel’s gorgeous photo of Mineral Springs Falls was chosen to appear in the 2023 Black Rock Forest Calendar. According to Daniel, the photo of the falls was taken earlier this year while he was volunteering for Black Rock’s phenology trail monitoring project as part of the School’s service learning program. “I am extremely excited that my picture was chosen and I think it is great that Black Rock Forest is recognizing my photo,” explained Daniel.

“Black Rock Forest has amazing views and I have been enjoying going there, especially when our school is so close to the forest that we can walk there in five minutes. I received a copy of the calendar and I love it. My photo was taken in September, so they used it in the calendar for the month of September 2023.” Great job, Daniel!
