On Thursday, October 19, alumni from various decades returned to The Storm King School campus to share their professional experiences with our juniors and seniors at Career Night. Career Night was held in Henderson Dining Hall following a formal dinner where the junior class served our students, faculty and alumni.

The students enjoyed viewing Anthony Behar’s photo albums, hearing Gary Springer’s tales of being an actor, getting an inside look of what it is like to be a Superintendent in Construction from Harris Ackermann and more. The room was alive with conversation as the alumni had a different view of life at Storm King. Students mentioned that, “I really liked learning about people who went to the same school, and felt the same feelings as I am feeling now as I prepare to go on to college.” Some students even said that they wished they had more time to talk with the alumni, because they were so fascinated with their career paths.

Career Night will continue to be held in the fall, to allow the chance for participating alumni to forge longer relationships with our students that can be maintained throughout the school year.
